The Connaught Inn is the closest accommodation to the train station being 2 minutes by car or just under a 10 minute walk. Situated on Spencer street, The Law Courts, The Green, GMIT, Castlebar General Hospital, Theatre Royal Concert Centre and The Linenhall Arts Centre are all a minute's walk and the hustle and bustle of town a mere 5 minutes walk. Equally if it’s peace and beautiful scenery you want Lough Lannagh is within a comfortable 10 minute walk with stunning views. The Mall Castlebar Castlebar and the surrounding areas have something for everyone with Westport only a 15 minute drive.

The 18^th Century building has been tastefully modernised and all rooms are en-suite, on the 1^st floor and suitable for the business user and family alike. Free wi-fi is available. The rooms are accessed via an external secure entrance.

We also boast a restaurant and bar lounge open 7 days a week. We offer traditional Irish food with a contemporary twist. All of our produce is fresh and locally sourced where possible offering light bites through to a full 4 course dinner to suit all tastes and pockets. It also boasts the only external courtyard dining area in Castlebar – weather permitting.

There is a wide selection of drinks in the bar with Sky TV and entertainment most weekends. We also have WiFi WiFi Available!!

Please ask when booking or check our events page. There is a car park to the rear with free parking from 6.30 pm until 8.30 am and free all day Sunday and public holidays.

We are now serving Breakfast on Sat & Sun from 9.00 am and from 8.00 am Monday - Friday. In addition we are now open for lunch 12-5.00pm and dinner 5-8 Monday - Thursday Dinner is 5-9pm Fridays and Saturdays
Sundays are 12-7pm
